These painterly animal portraits reminded me a little of the expressive fluidity of Amy Hamilton’s watercolours of wolves, moose, bear and deer.

But there’s something more energetic about these works that captures the pulsing, breathing aliveness of encountering a wild animal in the flesh. The colours are incredibly rich, the brushstrokes immediate and the expressions captured are completely in the moment.

Nike Collaboration

I’ve been surprised at the number of artists featured on MoMa who’ve worked on creative collaborations with the fashion world. The bold abstract paintings of Claire Desjardins are the perfect match for Nuvago’s Colour Theory range.

In a similar, erm… fashion, Dave White’s paintings make a rather comfy fit with sneakers. Specifically Nike’s Dave White Air Max 95’s featuring elements from the fox and rabbit paintings. About The Artist

Dave White graduated from John Moore’s University in Liverpool with exhibitions at Royal College of Art and solo shows across the globe. In recent years he’s been working with Nike to create limited edition designs based on his paintings.
