These images of Curiot street art, wall murals and gallery exhibitions capture the Mexican artist fully committed to his craft…
They call him El Curiot – an insanely talented master of the spray can from Mexico City.
Curiot is first and foremost an artist. You can attach descriptors like ‘street’, ‘urban’ and ‘muralist’ but however you define him he’ll be making art in whatever form presents itself.
In many ways Curiot street art stands alone from its contemporaries as it’s such a uniquely personal voice. Curiot’s dreamed up creatures draw more from South American folk art than easily definable cultural references.
This is an artist finely attuned to the creative voices in his head, dutifully carrying out the wonderfully strange commands of his psyche.
